The camera and its controls….We can give help on understanding the workings of most cameras, and whilst we don't know every feature of every make and model, there are certain features which are common to all cameras. Taking your camera off automatic is the first real step to move beyond snapshots.

The basics of composition…. It is amazing what a small difference in the position of the camera makes to the composition of a photograph, and combined with use of different lenses, a little instruction goes a long way to a vast improvement in composing a picture.

How to put the technical and artistic sides of photography together to take sharp, well exposed, and well composed pictures.

This course is a mixture of classroom and out and about practical, finishing back in the classroom to look over the day's pictures. Available as a half or full day.
